Before studying at the University of Hawai’i and graduating from George Washington University, I attended Kalihi Kai Elementary School and the Kamehameha Schools. This community is my home, and I’m running for the District VII seat on the Honolulu City Council to make sure that our children and grandchildren can call this place home too. As a third-generation product of public housing, I deeply understand the challenges facing our communities. I grew up in poverty in a family that struggled to pay rent each month. During my childhood in the Kamehameha Homes, I learned how issues of environment, housing, and economic stability create real challenges for our keiki. I’m running because we need leaders who will tackle these issues and bring real change to Honolulu. The next eight years will determine our community’s future. Rail
